Arjan Singh Bhullar (born May 13, 1986) is an MMA fighter. Bhullar has represented Canada internationally as a freestyle wrestler at several world championships, at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2012 Olympic Games. He is from Richmond, British Columbia. Bhullar is of Indian idealis=”https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sikh”>Sikh descent.
Arjan was a multiple time provincial and Canadian national wrestling champion. He attended Simon Fraser University and competed in the NAIA and the CIS. In 2006, Bhullar won a bronze medal at the World University Games. Bhullar is a two time NAIA champion and was named the outstanding wrestler at the 2009 NAIA Championships. In 2009, Arjan became the first athlete to win a championship in both the CIS and NAIA in the same competition year. Bhullar was named the Canada Wrestling’s Wrestler of the Year in 2009.
Bhullar won a gold medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Arjan represented Canada at the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games. Giving back to wrestling, Arjan is one of the founding coaches of the University of the Fraser Valley varsity wrestling program. The UFV Cascades compete in the CIS.

Bhullar is currently the heavyweight champion in the Battlefield Fight League and he was the first person of South Asian descent to represent Canada in the Olympics in freestyle wrestling (London 2012) –

Bhullar is the first wrestler in history to win University national titles for the Canadian (CIS) and American (NAIA) leagues in the same year (2008) and he is a two time NAIA wrestling champion.
In 2007 he won bronze at the Pan American Games in Rio De Janeiro. In 2008 he was named the Canadian Olympic Trials Champion. In 2009 he was named Canadian Wrestler of the Year. In 2011 he was named Sport BC University Athlete of the Year and he was a bronze medalist at the University World Championships. He is a five time National Champion.
Bhullar is the co-founder and co-coach of the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), wrestling program.
With his co-coach Raj Virdi, Bhullar founded the program in 2014 and completely funded it themselves. They both take no salary from the UFV. Within 6 months of its inception it became the number one program in Canada. This past year they guided Brad Hildenbrandt to become National Champion and in the women’s program they guided Karla Godinez to Rookie of the Year honours.

Arjan Bhullar and Jet Singh were great friends, both of whom had a great passion for wrestling, training and competing. It was through their respected fathers- both of whom were great sports men and friends, that them two met. Jet went and stayed with Arjan and his family to train during competitions in Canada too.
